These two garden templates represent two ends of the spectrum of housing types of our region – one is a more dense, multi-family development within Princeton. The other is a large single-family parcel on the city’s outskirts. To understand how the scale of the two templates relates to the templates from the other cities and regions, the Multi-Family Template is roughly the same square footage lot, 8,500 square feet, with less street frontage but more depth. The Single-Family, Large Parcel Template is a one-acre lot. Lots in the range between one-half and one acre are not uncommon in suburban areas of the Mid-Atlantic region.
